Why I (dis)like the text, The Lovely Bones
I am not sure why I chose to read The Lovely Bones... The book looked interesting; this is why you should never judge a book by its cover. This book is written in a young girl’s perspective, the past when she was still alive and the present as a ghost in what she calls her heaven. I am not quite sure whether I like it or I am just getting bored with it. I feel so bad for this girl Susie looking down and watching her family and friends. They have no idea what happened to her. Everyone wants to believe that Susie is still alive, but it is hard to keep their chin up. At least in the book the police know where she disappeared and know where to look for clues and evidence. But of course it rains almost everyday, so there goes any chance for finding evidence! I hate what happened to Susie and despise the man that killed her! I can't believe that he lives so close to the family and the community. Her father has a really good feeling that the man that killed his daughter is Mr. Harvey. Ahh I just want to reach into the book and tell everyone what a creep Mr. Harvey is and that he is a murderer!!! It's like he has outsmarted everyone, even Susie is trying to give hints of what happened to her. The only thing keeping me reading this book it so I can read of the sweet justice of Mr. Harvey getting caught and for Susie to move on to a heaven where she will see people she knows.

The Lovely Bones
I chose to read The Lovely Bones thinking this would be an easy, interesting and fun book to read. When I read the first page of the book I discovered that this book happens to be told by a girl that is already dead. I have never read a book where the story was told from a dead main character… So I was like ok, this is different and should be interesting. When the little girl tells how she was murdered I was shocked and disgusted. I am addicted to shows like C.S.I, N.C.I.S, Bones, Criminal Minds, The Mentalist, Law in Order, etc. I can handle almost anything those TV shows air except for when girls, boys, men or women are raped. I was not to thrilled or comfortable reading about what that poor girl had to go through before she was killed. Once that part was over I was able to get sucked back into the story. I am anxious to read the rest of this book and hope that the murder is caught and hung out to dry! No one deserves to die prematurely let alone harmed for no reason. I feel really bad for the little girl, I don’t feel a connection to her but I can sense a personal relation to her pain. My step father was abusive towards my mother and I remember how scared I was for my mom, sister and myself. I know this is just a book but this story line does exist in the real world, innocent people get hurt! The only hope we have for justice and faith lies in our court system. Court and trails won’t bring your loved one or friend back… But getting the person who does wrong put away helps a little.

love or stocker
When I started reading Liar, I noticed that Micah never admitted to being Zach's girlfriend. That really got me thinking... Were Micah and Zach really dating or was she stocking him? Sure she said that they ran together in the park, that he gave her his sweater, that they did sleep together, and that she would sneak into his room at night. In my opinion, though I am not qualified to say... I think Micah is mentally unstable! Micah’s father passed on a spoiled gene or she was dropped on her head as a baby! Yes I believe Micah loves Zach but I also think Zach did not know she even existed... Micah was not a part of his world let alone his girlfriend. When Micah says that they ran together in the park, she was following him imagining their little talks. Zach never gave Micah his sweater; she snuck into his room and stole it. Micah is not in her right mind, she totally imagined him touching her and them fooling around! And as for her sneaking into Zach’s room… I think she snuck into his room while he was out because he had a life… she should would maker herself at home and look at his stuff and smell his clothes like a freak would! My conclusion for Micah’s character in Liar is of course that she IS a compulsive liar and I am sure she is a stocker! She is in love with someone that doesn’t even know that she exists. Liar is not on my top 10 books but it was a good read.

Liar, what I think...
The book Liar was a really hard book for me to read! I am use to reading books that start from beginning to end. This book jumps back and forth and confuses you if you don't pay attention! The beginning of the book is based solely on Micah's life and all her believable lies . And the second part is completely nutts, out of know where, "Oh I am a WOLF!" is a little shocking. I don't know what I was expecting but I never would of thought that Micah would be a wolf. Now that I look back, I now sort of understand why Micah lies. I think she made up all her lies in order to make her situation easier to live with. It has to be hard to know that your not human and you are completely different from everyone else. And the fact that she was not going to let her situation interfere with her life is pretty amazing, but yet dangerous! Once I read the book, the ending was heartbreaking, I felt for Micahs character. I could not imagine my parents leaving me in the one place I so desperately did not want to be. Let alone have to live with the person that killed my boyfriend. I cried when Micah decided to forgive Pete and live with her Great and cousins. I really hope that if there ever is another book, Micah would be able to suppress her wolf side and continue her education. I wold like to hear about all the discoveries she would make about her wolf side. And it would be awesome if Micah could plot her revenge towards her parents!

Letter to Micah
Dear Micah,
I have to say you diffidently had me going! You are great at lying and misleading people. I totally believed you, and then you would confess to lying. If you would only tell the truth, life would be so much simpler! You don't need to lie in order to make people like you or impress them. People will accept you for who you are and if not that is their problem! I understand you have to deal with a lot. Your in high school keeping your boyfriend a secret, then he is murdered, finding out your a wolf, and high school is just hard to deal with when people are calling you a murderer. Life goes on; there is no excuse for all of your lies! You need to learn how to cope just like everyone else. Although I don't know what to tell you to help you cope being a wolf... Being a wolf would be pretty cool, just like if you happened to be a vampire. Now that I have read ahead I am not able to take you seriously. I just hope you didn’t create Zach up to make you feel better! When you confessed to making Jordan, your brother up, I lost a bit of respect for you. Creating a brother up is absolutely crazy! That had to of taken up a lot of energy and time to make up his ever move and conversation. I agree with your parents, you need to go and live with your Greats, they can really help you. I hope you make the right choice for once. Maybe that could be your first step to living a true life? I hope the best for you, and with time your heart will mend. Good luck with everything, I am rooting for you!

Sierra
Wow, I just finished reading Spirit of the Cimarron, Sierra by Kathleen Duey in remembrance of my belated Uncle John. I have always loved horses because they are magnificent, beautiful creatures. After reading Spirit of the Cimarron I actually learned quiet a few things I have questioned before, such as: how do wild horses communicate, what does the leader of the herd do, and what happens to wild horses that misbehave? From reading this book I now have a better understanding of what happens in a herd of wild horses. Horses have a very unique way of getting there point across such as: nudging to comfort or to show understanding, stomping to show impatience, and they put there head low to the ground when they are sympathetic or trying to apologize. The leader of the herd actually does not lead; he leaves that to a mature and wise horse he has learned to trust over time. When the herd is moving the leader holds his place in the back of the line basically. He stays behind to make sure everyone stays together and to protect in case of danger. This book is told by a foal named Sierra's perspective and she accidentally ran into some wolves while she was running with her friend, Fern. Indistinctly they ran back to the herd and the leader Shadow had to deal with the enemies. After the whole mess was over with the two foals were not allowed to be near the herd. They were not allowed to have any contact, only able to walk in eye site distance. This is an amazing story, think I read it in an hour! I am sure all animals have there own ways of communicating, living, and leadership styles. I believe that wild horses have the most unique way of living and diffidently plan on reading more about them!
