Letter to Micah

Dear Micah,
I have to say you diffidently had me going! You are great at lying and misleading people.  I totally believed you, and then you would confess to lying.  If you would only tell the truth, life would be so much simpler!  You don't need to lie in order to make people like you or impress them.  People will accept you for who you are and if not that is their problem!  I understand you have to deal with a lot. Your in high school keeping your boyfriend a secret, then he is murdered, finding out your a wolf, and high school is just hard to deal with when people are calling you a murderer.  Life goes on; there is no excuse for all of your lies!  You need to learn how to cope just like everyone else.  Although I don't know what to tell you to help you cope being a wolf...  Being a wolf would be pretty cool, just like if you happened to be a vampire.  Now that I have read ahead I am not able to take you seriously.  I just hope you didn’t create Zach up to make you feel better!  When you confessed to making Jordan, your brother up, I lost a bit of respect for you.  Creating a brother up is absolutely crazy!  That had to of taken up a lot of energy and time to make up his ever move and conversation.  I agree with your parents, you need to go and live with your Greats, they can really help you.  I hope you make the right choice for once.  Maybe that could be your first step to living a true life?  I hope the best for you, and with time your heart will mend.  Good luck with everything, I am rooting for you!

Sierra

Wow, I just finished reading Spirit of the Cimarron, Sierra by Kathleen Duey in remembrance of my belated Uncle John.  I have always loved horses because they are magnificent, beautiful creatures.  After reading Spirit of the Cimarron I actually learned quiet a few things I have questioned before, such as: how do wild horses communicate, what does the leader of the herd do, and what happens to wild horses that misbehave?  From reading this book I now have a better understanding of what happens in a herd of wild horses.  Horses have a very unique way of getting there point across such as: nudging to comfort or to show understanding, stomping to show impatience, and they put there head low to the ground when they are sympathetic or trying to apologize. The leader of the herd actually does not lead; he leaves that to a mature and wise horse he has learned to trust over time.  When the herd is moving the leader holds his place in the back of the line basically.  He stays behind to make sure everyone stays together and to protect in case of danger. This book is told by a foal named Sierra's perspective and she accidentally ran into some wolves while she was running with her friend, Fern. Indistinctly they ran back to the herd and the leader Shadow had to deal with the enemies.  After the whole mess was over with the two foals were not allowed to be near the herd.  They were not allowed to have any contact, only able to walk in eye site distance.  This is an amazing story, think I read it in an hour!  I am sure all animals have there own ways of communicating, living, and leadership styles. I believe that wild horses have the most unique way of living and diffidently plan on reading more about them!

Top 10 favorite phrases from Twilight

1.)  I felt a surge of pity, and relief. Pity because, as beautiful as they were, they were outsiders, clearly not accepted. Relief that I wasn’t the only newcomer here, and certainly not the most interesting by any standard.
Bella Swan, Twilight, Chapter 1, p.22
-  I love this sentence in the 1st chapter.  As a reader I know what it feels like to be an outsider, and since the Cullen's are not accepted at school Bella is not so worried about being a freak! I never had that when I was in high school...

2.)  It’s a good thing he’s happily married. A lot of the nurses at the hospital have a hard time concentrating on their work with him around.
Charlie Swan, Twilight, Chapter 2, p.37

-  Stephanie Meyers makes Dr. Cullen's charter so beautiful, and when your reading the book you can just imagine how how hot he is.  To me he is someones dream man and of course you cant have him.  He is just extremely desirable, married man!

3.)  That was the first night I dreamed of Edward Cullen.
Bella Swan, Twilight, Chapter 3, p.67

-  Reading this sentence in the book you just know that Bella is falling in love with Edward.  This book is written in Bella's perspective and when you read what she feels you feel it as well.  Bella has so many thoughts and the author is very talented in making you feel what all the characters are going though.

4.)  Do you have a multiple personality disorder?
Bella Swan, Twilight, Chapter 4, p.82

-  When I was reading this book I sort of knew felt the same way as Bella.  Edward is a complex character and is so confusing!  She wants to be with Edward and he keeps ignoring her so when he decides that he is going to talk to Bella, "I just started laughing" she acts coy and asks him if he has a multiple personality disorder!

5.)  I decided as long as I was going to hell, I might as well do it thoroughly.
Edward Cullen, Twilight, Chapter 5, p.87

-  This is so romantic!  I love this part, it shows that Edward does not care anymore about the rules or what people think.  He loves Bella and will do anything for her.

6.)  What if I’m not a superhero? What if I’m the bad guy?
Edward Cullen, Twilight, Chapter 5, p.92

-  If I was Bella in this book I would want to be with Edward!  It would not matter if he was or was not a vampire... This two characters are certainly made to be together and I envy their love for each other!

7.)  About three things I was absolutely positive. First, Edward was a vampire. Second, there was part of him — and I didn’t know how potent that part might be — that thirsted for my blood. And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.
Bella Swan, Twilight, Chapter 9, p.195

-  When I was reading this it made me feel on edge, scared for Bella, and it was just plain intense!  A love like theirs is real, minus the vampire part.  I am not really into the hole Twilight Saga scene but I am a Twilight Saga reader and I love how Stephanie makes you want the story to be real and be able to live there lives.

8.)  Of course, keeping you safe is beginning to feel like a full-time occupation that requires my constant presence.
Edward Cullen, Twilight, Chapter 10, p.211

-  Again... This made me laugh, Bella is such a cults and Edward it seems selfish but its because he loves Bella and wants to keep her safe.  But I also interpreted this sentence as a way for Edward to be with Bella all the time!  Its like they cant breath without one another.

9.)  People are predictable. But you… you never do what I expect. You always take me by surprise.
Edward Cullen, Twilight, Chapter 12, p.245

-  I like this part because Bella's character is not like everyone else.   Her personality draws Edward in and I think its because he has lived so long that her mature mind and how she views life makes there love so much more.

10.)  Be very still.
Edward Cullen, Twilight, Chapter 13, p.276

- This is my absolute favorite sentence in Twilight!  Edward tries so hard to keep Bella safe from him but he just cant take it anymore and finally tires to kiss Bella.  Every girl wants to love a man with that much passion!  At least I do...

Cirque du Freak, Book 9

I just got done reading the entire Cirque du Freak series. All 12 of the books were absolutely fantastic! Every single book took me on an adventure and my imagination soared. When I got done reading the 9th book of the series I was distraught and honestly a wreck! I have never been so frustrated reading a book. One of my favorite main characters involved in the series, Mr. Crepsley was killed off.  It’s not just that Mr. Crepsley was killed off, its how he died and that he died in vain!  Mr. Crepsley is tricked into thinking that the vampires have won the War of the Scars by killing the Lord of the Vampaneze.  The vampires have a personal vendetta towards Darren Shan’s ex-best friend Steve Leopard.  So once Mr. Crepsley realized that the Lord of the Vampaneze was dead he went after Steve.  During their quarrel Steve and Mr. Crepsley wind up falling over the edge of a cave.  If they were both to fall, both of them would have been impaled and killed instantly.  Just in reach Steve is grabbed by his protector and Mr. Crepsley hangs on to Steve, certain to kill both of them!  Mr. Crepsley could have saved himself but he is filled with such rage and determination to kill Steve!  But in the end Mr. Crepsley ends up letting Steve live in order to protect the lives of the vampires and he sacrifices his own life.  I kept hoping that some how by some miracle Mr. Crepsley would come back to life so Darren had company. And I was honestly disappointed when he never returned, just stayed a memory in the rest of the series.
